American Council on Education
ACE, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to
provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public
policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.
Education Commission of the States
Enrollments of traditional college-age students are expected to increase by 2.3 million, or
13%, from 2000 to 2015 (The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education, Measuring
Up 2000).
Preparing Future Faculty
The Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) program is both a configuration of ideas and a national
initiative involving 43 doctoral degree-granting institutions and more than 295 "partner"
institutions.
